Features
Wishlist and compare
Let shoppers save products to an account wishlist that follows them across devices, and compare products side by side on the fields you choose.
Not every visit ends in a sale. The wishlist gives shoppers a reason to come back — and to sign in — while compare helps undecided shoppers choose between similar products without opening a dozen tabs. Both are switched on, shaped and labelled from wp-admin.
- Where it shows
- Hearts and compare buttons on product cards, the product gallery and quick view; header icons;
/account/wishlistand/compare - Configure in
- StoreFront → Settings → Wishlist and StoreFront → Settings → Compare
- Requires

- Both available — sign in as the demo customer to save wishlist items
What shoppers get
Section titled “What shoppers get”Wishlist
Section titled “Wishlist”- A heart on product cards, on the product page gallery and in quick view, with a counter in the header.
- A Wishlist page in the account, with bulk actions to remove several items at once and a button to clear the list.
- The list is kept with the shopper’s account, so it is waiting for them on any device.
- A guest who taps a heart sees “Sign in to save this item”, signs in, and is brought straight back to the page they were on.
Compare
Section titled “Compare”- A compare button on product cards, the product page gallery and quick view, and a compare icon with a live count in the header.
- A side-by-side table at
/comparewith product images, ratings, prices, brand logos and the rows you choose — for example description, SKU, availability, weight, dimensions, brand and any global attribute. - Add to cart straight from the table.
- Optional grouping into one section per category, and a Compare more products button that leads back to the active category.
- A guest’s compare list is kept in their browser; a signed-in shopper’s list also syncs across their devices.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”The wishlist is stored by the Companion plugin against the customer’s WordPress account. When a shopper signs in, any items saved in that browser before the wishlist became account-based are merged into their account list once.
The compare list lives in the shopper’s browser first, so it works instantly for guests. For signed-in shoppers it is also saved to their account and merged on sign-in, up to the maximum you set. The compare page is a private tool, so it is kept out of search engines.

Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Compare table rows come from WooCommerce’s global attributes. Attributes created only on a single product are not offered as rows.
- When the Compare toggle is off, every compare surface disappears, including the header icon.
- The number fields on the Compare tab correct their value on every keystroke, so some two-digit values (such as 10–19 for the maximum) are awkward to type. This is a known issue.
