Work that is designed, in progress or on the project feature list but not yet shipped — from a multi-vendor marketplace to product Q&A, more payment methods and faster caching.
Everything elsewhere in these docs is shipped and working today. This page collects what comes next: work that
has a recorded design, an open branch, or both. Nothing here is available yet, and none of it carries a date.
Turn a single store into a marketplace when the backend provides one, starting with WooCommerce and Dokan.
Planned: a vendor directory, a store page per vendor, a cart grouped by vendor with a shipping
choice per vendor, and sub-orders so each vendor’s part of a purchase is tracked and fulfilled on its own.
Vendors keep managing their business in WordPress; a plain WooCommerce store stays single-seller and shows no
vendor anywhere. The design is recorded; no code has shipped.
Owner and staff admin area
A storefront-side /admin area for the Store Owner and staff, with role-based access: a menu toggle and
per-feature permissions for each staff member. Today all store management happens in wp-admin.
More Template Families
Additional ready-made looks for the Home, listing and product pages, each with its own header and footer
preset, chosen per deployment. The machinery ships today with one family, default.
Shopify adapter
A second commerce backend behind the same Port, so the storefront can run in front of Shopify. Adding a
backend means one adapter package that passes the shared contract suite.
Search index
A dedicated search index for faster, more forgiving product search on large catalogues.
Page builder
Visual composition of storefront pages, so marketing pages can be assembled without a deployment.
Cart-abandonment recovery
Reminding Shoppers about carts they left behind, to win back sales that nearly happened.
Incremental page caching
Caching rendered pages and refreshing them when the catalogue changes, on Cloudflare and elsewhere. Today
pages are rendered on each request.
Apple sign-in
Sign in with Apple alongside Google and Facebook. It was removed from the Companion plugin for now and is
not offered by the storefront.
Link wallet
Stripe’s Link in express checkout, pending verification. Express checkout ships with Apple Pay and Google
Pay; Link follows once hand checks with real wallets are complete.
Languages in wp-admin
Choosing the languages for policy pages and SEO settings in wp-admin. Per-language policy pages and SEO
already work; today a developer sets the language list.
The project’s feature list spells out what the multivendor marketplace adds to each screen. All of it depends on
the Multivendor capability (WooCommerce with Dokan) and none of it has shipped.

Hard-to-reverse choices are written down as decision records before code is written, so a designed item already
has its shape agreed: the multi-vendor marketplace, for example, is recorded as a Capability that a backend
either provides or doesn’t, so stores without it are unaffected. Browse the records in
Decision records.
