Home page
Fourteen merchandising sections — hero slider, deals countdown, best sellers, testimonials and more — composed per store and edited in wp-admin.
The home page is your shop window. It is built from fourteen ready-made sections that fill themselves from your catalogue or from content you write in wp-admin. Each deployment chooses which sections appear and in what order, and any section with nothing to show quietly steps aside.

How it works
Section titled “How it works”Two people shape the home page, at two different levels.
The developer who deploys the storefront decides which sections exist and in what order, with one environment variable:
HOME_SECTIONS=hero,new-arrivals,todays-deals,best-sellers,callout,reviewsLeave it unset to get all fourteen in the default order. Sections left out are never rendered and never fetch their
data, which makes the page lighter. Unknown names are ignored with a warning in the server log. Two companion
variables cap the rails: HOME_PRODUCT_CAROUSEL_LIMIT (products per rail, default 12) and HOME_CATEGORIES_LIMIT
(categories in the category row, default 12).
The Store Owner fills and switches the sections in wp-admin, with no redeploy. The slider, CTA banner, promo cards, sale banner, Today’s Deals and testimonials each have their own card with an on/off toggle. Everything else follows the catalogue: mark a product as Featured and it joins Daily essentials; schedule a sale that ends today and it joins Today’s Deals.
A section in HOME_SECTIONS still hides itself when it has nothing to show — a switched-off banner, no deals ending
today, no featured products.
Today’s Deals
Section titled “Today’s Deals”Today’s Deals runs itself. A product appears when it has a sale price with a Schedule end date of today and the sale is still running. The countdown ends at midnight in your store’s timezone (WordPress Settings → General → Timezone). Up to 12 deals show, soonest-ending first. To feature a deal, give a product a sale that ends today.
Set it up
Section titled “Set it up”- Ask your developer which sections the deployment includes, or set
HOME_SECTIONSyourself — see Environment variables. - In wp-admin, open StoreFront → Settings → Home page and fill in and switch on the sections you want — see Home page.
- Mark featured products and featured brands in WooCommerce — see Products.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Changes made in wp-admin reach the live site within about five minutes, because the storefront caches these reads briefly.
- Today’s Deals leaves out variable products: WooCommerce schedules their sales per variation.
- On promo cards from wp-admin, the fixed “Save” word before the discount label shows in English in every language for now; the rest of the card shows exactly what you type.
- Demo Mode shows its own placeholder campaign content; wp-admin settings apply only when the storefront is connected to WooCommerce.
- The look of the sections comes from the deployment’s Template Family; see Theming and layout.
