Your path to launch
The steps from a local demo to a live store, who usually owns each one, and where each is documented.
Launching the storefront is a short, predictable sequence. Most of it happens in WordPress, which your store team already knows; the rest is a one-time deployment. Follow the stages in order — each one builds on the previous.
-
Explore the demo — everyone
Run the storefront locally in Demo Mode or browse the read-only QA store. Agree on languages, the home-page sections you want, and any must-have integrations.
-
Prepare WordPress — store admin
Check the WooCommerce settings the storefront relies on: pretty permalinks, HTTPS, selling and shipping locations, free-shipping thresholds, brands, timezone and currency.
-
Install the Companion plugin — store admin or developer
Install and activate it, add the two secrets to
wp-config.php, and set the storefront URL under StoreFront → Settings → General (guide). -
Connect and deploy the storefront — developer or IT
Point the storefront at your store, then deploy it to Cloudflare Workers or any Node host on your production domain.
-
Make it yours — store admin
Set colours, build the header and footer, fill the home page, write your policy pages and SEO.
-
Turn on payments and sign-in — store admin
Configure Stripe, PayPal and wallets in test mode first, then Google and Facebook sign-in and Turnstile bot protection.
-
Go live — everyone
Work through the go-live checklist: live payment keys, a real test order and refund, email delivery, cron, Search Console and backups.
